Overview:

How can you become a more agile organization? How do you make agile actionable? In this chat, I’ll outline how we can bring the Agile mindset to places such as HR, ?nance, marketing.

I’ll share a overview of an agile mindset and framework then give you a few tools for you to take back to your workplace to implement today.

This session will look at the foundations of Agile frameworks, and why Agile is a critical tool that can help organizational relevance and competitiveness.

Rather than a broad overview of all of agile, we’ll move from a fundamental conversation to three practical application tools. We’ll look at three common agile tools and how you can apply them to various departments - from marketing, to HR to ?nance.

We’ll look at ideas like Kanban boards, Standups/ Retrospectives, and Comm Boards to increase the effectiveness, innovation, quality, and collaboration among team members.

We’ll look at how Kanban boards were used in a recruitment process for an organization to improve candidate cycle time by nearly 300 percent, improve candidate experience, and elevate the hiring decisions of the company (leading to lessened turnover).

We’ll look at how standups/retrospectives with faster iterations and clearer communication saved a two year implementation project nearly 1.5 million dollars through a strategic agile approach. The project was completed under time allotment and under budget - a feat for any organizational undertaking of this size!

I’ll give you insights into how a non pro?t used agile frameworks to improve project completion rate by more than 450 percent - which dramatically in?uenced the impact they could have within the community and people they serve. This also impacted employee engagement, employee performance, and clarity of organizational vision.

I’ll share how these tools are meaningful and the bene?ts/drawbacks of each one through real-life case studies. I’ll share some of the challenges of implementation of Agile tools and some of the failed Agile transformation attempts to provide insight as you lead your team to become more agile.

I’ll also share effective ways to lead your team in an agile transformation and how to communicate for buy in through small wins. I’ll share what questions you should ask to determine when to use and exclude these tools in application. That’s right, agile tools are not a catch-all for every situation. In fact, there are times when agile may add confusion rather than clarity. We’ll look at when and how to apply meaningful Agile tools in your department for success.

Why should you Attend: The pace of change in organizations today is going faster than ever before. The increasing demand to be more agile is critical for business relevance and competitiveness. If you are uncertain about how to lead your team in this time of change, what tools to equip your team to be more agile, and how to adapt a more agile mindset/approach to doing business
